The answer to last week’s mystery was Mordecai out of the book of Esther. Here are some clues to another person. I am a fisherman and I could be called the first apostle. Jesus healed my mother-in-law when she was sick with a fever and I did something that only two people are recorded to have done in the entire bible. Christ one time called me “Satan” because I was not looking at the things of God. I asked Jesus for clarification when he said, “Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.” Jesus gave me something that unlocked the truth. Once I went up on a mountain with Jesus and saw Moses and another time I asked Jesus what kind of a reward that the disciples would receive for following him. One time I lied to a little girl as Jesus had predicted. I repented and followed Jesus the rest of my life. Who am I?
I just got a message that Sis Kim Hawk is in the hospital with severe chest pains. For those that may not remember/know, she has had some very serious heart issue in the past and has been fearing that another open heart surgery may be in her future. Please remember Kim and her family when you pray.

The answer to last week’s mystery was Naomi out of the book of Ruth. Here are some clues to another person. I am found in a book in the bible that does not use the word “God” anywhere in the book. I am a Jew out of the family of the Benjamites. I was carried away into captivity by Nebuchadnezzar and came to live in Shushan. I took my first cousin Hadassah as my daughter after her parents died. My daughter grew up and became royalty and saved thousands of Jews. I told of a plot to harm the king and was rewarded with a parade in my honor. Even my greatest enemy was invited to take part in the celebration. He was later hanged on gallows that he had built to hang me. I ended up with everything that my enemy owned after he died. The king one time declared that I and all the Jews would be killed, but God used my daughter to save us out of my enemies’ hands. To celebrate this deliverance, the Days of Purim or Feast of Purim was instituted. Who am I?

Who am I?
I am not directly in the lineage of David but indirectly I am in the lineage. I have known both jubilation and tragedy. I have gone from a family of six to a family of three and from a family of three to a family of two and from the family of two back to a family of four. Once in my life I was full (had enough) and then I became poor. At the end of my life I lived in wealth, but was not wealthy. In the span of 10 years I went from being pleasant to being bitter, back to being pleasant. My best friend is no kin to me, but they love me like a son and I love them like they were my own child. God made a way for me to celebrate a marriage in my old age and redeem that which I had once sold. The marriage resulted in a son and I was once again called blessed. Who am I?
